I recently tried the Perfect Image Exfoliating Body Peel 55%, and my overall experience was excellent. I was interested in this product because I wanted to give more attention to the skin on my body, particularly the areas that can sometimes feel rough or less smooth. I normally pay much more attention to my facial skincare routine, so I was curious to see how adding a dedicated body exfoliating product would fit into my routine.
From the beginning, I liked that the product was specifically designed for body use. The 4 oz / 120 ml size also made sense to me because it gave me enough product to use on larger areas rather than having to be extremely restrictive with the amount I applied. I appreciated being able to think of it as a proper body-care product rather than simply using a small amount of a facial product on my body.
The application experience was very positive for me. I found it straightforward to work with, and I liked being able to focus on the areas where I felt my skin needed additional exfoliation. I was particularly interested in areas such as my elbows, knees, and hands because these are places where my skin can sometimes feel rougher. Having a product specifically intended for these areas made my skincare routine feel more complete.
What I noticed most from my personal experience was the way my skin felt afterward. My skin felt smoother, softer, and refreshed. I really liked the feeling of having removed some of the dull surface buildup and giving my skin…

Tips & Information
Before applying, read accompanying procedure.
A patch test on a small area near the treatment area, should be performed before the actual peel. See package insert for details.
Chemical peel may be layered to increase penetration and create a deeper exfoliating effect.
Store at room temperature 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F). Keep bottle tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. Keep away from direct sunlight.
Application
Step 1
Cleanse the skin with warm water or a mild cleanser. Repeat. Allow skin to completely dry before applying.
Step 2
Initial application: Apply peel using a larger body peel applicator brush or gauze pad. For the first application, allow peel to work on the skin for 1 min or less to ensure your skin tolerates it well without any allergic reactions or extreme sensitivities. Contact time and layers may be adjusted with tolerance
Step 3
Begin to stop activity and remove peel by flushing with cool water. *Chemical peel may be layered to increase penetration and create a deeper exfoliating effect.
Warnings
- Do not apply to other areas in which you have used hair removal products in the last 2 days.
- Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse eyes with large amounts of cool tap water.
- Do not apply to sensitive skin areas or open wounds.
- The results for each person will vary depending on skin sensitivity, contact time, number of layers, and skin density.
- Applying the peel more than once per week will increase the risk of skin sensitivity.
- Do not tan 1 week prior and 2 weeks after treatment as this can potentially cause unwanted skin discoloration, excessive redness, or rash.
- You will experience a stinging or tingling sensation. If excessive stinging or discomfort occurs, neutralize the peel by flushing the skin with cool water.
- Redness may occur for a short period of time, especially for those with sensitive skin types. If redness persists longer than 20-30 minutes, decrease the contact time of the peel or discontinue use.
- Not every person will experience visible peeling, this does not mean the peel is not working. You will see improved marks in texture, tone, and overall appearance of the skin.
- Excessive facial irritation or redness occurs 48-72 hours after application
- Chest pain, faintness, or dizziness occurs
- You experience pain, swelling, or severe burns
- You experience an allergic reaction
- Your skin becomes infected
- If swallowed, seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center Immediately
- Avoid using self-tanners, masks, scrubs or exfoliating agents for at least 48 hours prior to the peel.
- Stop AHA, BHA, and Vitamin A topical products 2 days before the peel.
- Do not wax or shave facial hair for 2 days before the peel.
- Notify us or your regular doctor if you have a history of cold sores, fever blisters or herpes outbreak anywhere on the face prior to the application.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 1 week prior to the peel and week after. We recommended not to tan at all because your skin will be more sensitive to light and tanning accelerates the aging process.
- You currently take Accutane (isotretinoin) or have within the past 6 months
- You are pregnant or lactating
- Have a tendency to keloid (Scar)
- Have Herpes Simplex (Sexual Transmitted Disease) – you will be more prone to infection
- You are HIV positive or have AIDS
- Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
- You do not fully understand the procedure and are not willing to accept the risk, disclaimer, and limitations involved in the healing process
- You are not realistic in expectations

Sunburn Alert
